Sending you so much love for an amazing 2020
Y’all. It’s almost a new DECADE. I’m here for it. 2019 was good, but I can already tell 2020 is about to strut her stuff. Whether you make New Years Resolutions or not, it’s natural to look back and look ahead at the dawn of a new year. As we move into this new year, wherever you are in life right now, I’m sending you so much love and excitement for the year and decade ahead. Here are a few wishes for you and me as we move together into another year, side-by-side.
My wishes for you and me:
I wish for us a year of happiness and joy: as Gabby Bernstein says in her book Super Attractor, achievement comes from joy. Start with what feels good - go for a walk, go dancing, call your best friend, bake a cake, paint your guest room - and watch the universe open up blessings and abundance. Let’s have some fun!
I wish for us a year of trust and peace: we are always protected and taken care of. We have everything we need, right here, right now. We are safe. My wish for us is that we know this to be true and lean into the peace that comes from sitting in trust. It’s all going to be okay. Probably way, way better than okay. :)
I wish for us a year of love: I had a conversation with a friend last night about the importance of saying, “I love you” to friends and family and loved ones. To love and to feel loved is one of the best feelings ever. I’m wishing for us to give and receive so much love this year.
My Affirmations for 2020: These are my personal affirmations. I’d love to hear yours!
2020 is a year of redefining success. Success is health. Success is feeling good. Success is happiness. Success is love and connections.
2020 is a year of taking risks and trying new things. I don’t know about you, but I have become a little bit comfy in my routine this past year. I’m ready to shake it up. This is a year of expansion.
2020 is a year of messy, inconvenient heart-grabbing love. I’m getting a puppy in March 2020. She’s going to joyfully disrupt my very clean, predictable and organized life. I can’t wait.
When I’m sitting here a year from now, what can I say happened in 2020? Hmmm…
Novel : complete! Shopping publishers and negotiating a bidding war ;)
Travel: two new countries visited - on my mind are Eastern Europe and Spain
Wellness: another year Diet Coke-free (!!) and still rocking daily visits to Equinox; feeling so good inside and out
Intentional Screentime (TV and phone): less time looking at screens and more time reading books, spending time with friends, building relationships and playing with my new puppy
I don’t believe that life is made up of a few monumental moments, but instead it’s made up of daily micro-moments. Micro-loves. Micro-risks. At the turn of this decade, I’m asking myself: “How do I want to spend the hours of my life?” I want to spend them creating, loving, feeling good and exploring. What about you? What does your 2020 look like? How do you want to feel at the end of this year? At the end of this next decade? Whatever it is, I’m right here cheering you on.
2020 is going to be gorgeous and I can’t wait to be with you every step of the way.
Happy New Year! xo
